A bat’s MOI, or Mass Moment of Inertia, is the numerical value of a bat’s swing weight. The larger the number, the heavier, more end-loaded the bat will feel when swinging. As you can see, the 2021 Hawk2’s MOI is slightly less than the 2020. While still a very much end-loaded bat, this adjustment allows for more bat control and better pop than the previous version.

With the newly implemented in-season compression testing rules and regulations, we understand that many have made the investment in at-home testing equipment to monitor their gear. All of our bats are certified and meet the BBCOR standard for compression testing limits at purchase (The Hawk2 was certified at 1750lbs, BBCOR minimum is 1250lbs).
